WLU enjoys productive partnerships with area businesses, public schools, higher education institutions, and government. The College is a vigorous competitor for top quality students and external financial support. Known for being highly effective at meeting student needs, the University cooperates with the West Virginia University System providing well-prepared graduate students. A collaborative agreement includes preliminary graduate course work on the WLSC campus.

The principal curriculums are teacher education, liberal arts, fine arts, sciences, business, professional, pre-professional, and technical programs.   • West Liberty is now proud to annouce they offer a Masters of Arts in Education Degree with three specializations. * MULTI-CATEGORICAL SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM EMPHASIS(MC SPED) Permits teachers, with an existing certification and sufficient content in English, reading, mathematics, science, or social studies, to acquire an additional endorsement. Candidates must fulfill all requirements set by the WVDE to be recommended for licensure. * ADVANCED TEACHING PROGRAM EMPHASIS (ADV TEACH) Is designed to help the candidate examine and enhance professional practice, set personal and professional goals, and prepare to undertake the National Board Certification process. * TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION PROGRAM EMPHASIS (TECH) Prepares teachers to assume the role of a techology integration specialist at the building, district, or area level. School-based assignments and experiences are an integral part of this area of emphasis.
